Pärontwins are twin-attached pear jellies from Grahns Konfektyr in Skövde, set with potato starch instead of gelatine — which makes them one of the few properly vegan picks in a traditional Swedish pick-and-mix. The 'sour..ish' name is honest labelling: a mild malic-acid tang rather than a sharp sour coating, so the pear flavour stays in front. The starch-set texture is denser and smoother than a gummy bear — closer to the chew of a Dots gumdrop. Snap the twins apart to share, or don't.
